World Congress of Families is an international gathering of pro-family leaders, scholars, activists and parliamentarians. Warsaw will mark our 10th Anniversary. Past Congresses were held in Prague (1997), Geneva (1999) and Mexico City (2004).
The upcoming Congress will be our largest and best to date. We’re expecting more than 3,500 people from over 70 countries in Warsaw in May. Enclosed are two brochures in Polish and English for World Congress of Families IV.
Mr. Lech Kaczynski, President of the Republic of Poland, has agreed to serve as honorary patron of World Congress of Families IV. The President and the Prime Minister will provide the opening addresses to the World Congress of Families participants.
Archbishop-Emeritus Kazimierz Majdanski, survivor of the World War II Dachau concentration camp and founder of the Polish Institute for the Study of the Family, is another patron and has offered his blessing for the Congress. Alfonso Cardinal Lopez Trujillo, president of the Pontifical Council for the Family, will also be a speaker at the Congress and conduct Mass before the session on Sunday, May 13.
