Since you’re an email subscriber and World Congress of Families friend, we feel it’s our duty to let you know that we have a great financial need.
The past year and a half – since World Congress of Families V– has been a particularly difficult time for us. We came out of Amsterdam with significant unforeseeable expenses to pay which cut into available funds for operating expenses.
Like most non-profits, the recession hasn’t been easy on us. Both foundations and individuals have cut back on their giving substantially.
Now, for the good news: We have a number of pledges to provide support for us later this year. In the meantime, one of our generous donors has offered to match any donation we receive before March 1, up to $10,000! That means your $100 or $1,000 donation will, in reality, bring us $200 or $2,000.
In the face of this financial challenge, 2011 will be a year of unparalleled opportunities to advance the cause of the natural family.
In the past, we’ve usually had one or two regional Congresses a year. In 2011, we’re planning regional events in Riga, Latvia – London, England – Lagos, Nigeria – and a first-ever Demographic Summit in Moscow, Russia.
As of January 1, we had 30 World Congress of Families Partners. WCF has now brought together some of the largest and most active pro-family and pro-life organizations in the United States, Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Europe and Australia. For a list of our Partners, click here.
With your help, we will continue to confront the common threat to families from the United Nations, European Union, International Planned Parenthood Federation, the gay lobby and other anti-family forces.
The Congress will continue to forge an international alliance to promote the natural family and block homosexual “marriage” and abortion at both the national and international levels, as we did in 2010 with our Leadership Petitions: Against Same-Sex Marriage in Mexico City and In Support of Kenyans Opposed to A Pro-Abortion Constitution.
World Congress of Families is the only organization uniting people of good will of many faiths in defense of the natural family. WCF is the only organization that brings together every strain of the family-values movement. The Congress is the only organization of its kind which is building a truly international pro-family movement.
